1935 and 1936 RM Magazine Articles

I'm getting in late on this discussion, but would greatly appreciate receiving the RM articles.

Will post pix and details on my RM #989 soon.

Thanks,

epidoc and woodsmith - articles on the way. Please let me know when you receive them.

I, too, would appreciate receiving copies of the articles, sent to [also in profile] dysongy/at/aol.com {kindly change "/at/" to @}.

Many thanks!

Regards

Dyson

RM articles sent - 1:30 PM Wed. 12 Dec. Let me know if you received them OK.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread but there was also an article reviewing the .357 by Elmer Keith later in 1935. If I am being repetitive, I apologize. Below is a pic from the article that I scanned while reading it at a friend's casa. They were shooting jackrabbits as 2-300 yards.

I know i am late on this but if someone would be kind enough to send me the articles I would be greatful.

Olddave and Gametime:

Check your email. In the spirit of the chain - you are in line to send the articles to the next person that requests a copy.

Enjoy,

I would very much appreciate your sending me a copy...

Thanks

Chuck

I recently was rereading Roy Jink's 1989 article on the registered magnum, and thought it would be fun to read a couple of the complete original articles on the RM that he mentions. These were in the following two magazines, which I have subsequently purchased:

This is the American Rifleman cover from February 1935:

This is just an anonymous news article, but an interesting read.

And here's the Outdoor Life cover from April 1936:

This is an article by Douglas Wesson on hunting with the reg mag. At the time, hunting with a handgun was unusual.

I have copied and scanned the articles, so if any of you would like a copy, just say so in a post below. My thought is that if there are a bunch of you that would like the articles, we could form an email chain so I email it to the first guy, and the first guy to the second guy, and so on. That's how I got the Jink's article, originally, through the courtesy of a fellow forum member who did the same thing a couple of years ago with that article that I am proposing here.

(You'll need Adobe Reader to open the files. Most PCs have it, but if you don't it is a free download.)

I would be greatful, if someone would email a copy of April 1936 Outdoor Life article. Thanks

The chain appeared to be broken, so I sent the RM articles to cxm and stevehammer. Pheasant's email address is not in his profile so he's out of luck.

Would be happy to. Please e-mail me at the e-mail in my profile and I will send it right off. Please put 'Articles' in the subject. Thank you and thanks for sending it to me.

Woodsmith, Sorry didn't realize my email wasn't posted. It is now, if someone would email me the outdoor Life articles I would be greateful.
