This K-22 Outdoorsman was shipped in January 1935. The revolver has just a hint of muzzle wear and a few handling marks. The box is in good shape and the four page brochure appears to be correct for the year when the gun was shipped. The test target was fired by Mr. Bingham, a S&W employee, who often test fired revolvers. The K-22 also letters with an ivory marble bead front sight and a U-notch rear sight. This option was avaible for the K-22, but not seen often. Overall a great package that will soon be 76 years young!!

One of two pre-WW II S&Ws in my collection.

Doc, I sure hope that this isn't a portent of things to come. Not too many of us out here can keep up with your standards. If your interests have migrated to K22's, then my motley collection of K22's won't ever be able to show themselves again!
Seriously though, that is an outstanding example (....man, those grips are stunning) and thanks for sharing. -S2

PS: If you would care to enlighten us more pedestrian K22's collectors as to where you came up with such a treasure, it would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, really amazing. I think David Carroll describes ones like that as "no upgrade needed".

Doc44.....

those are without a doubt the most pristine, perfect looking stocks I have ever seen. Look like they just left the factory finishing room. Wow...

here is mine

Was not sure that the Marbles sights could be factory original.Have not seen another one until now. Mine is just a brass bead. Unfortunately my outdoorsman does not have condition, photos better than real life, lots of brown bleeding through on both sides, but its honest.

I would not throw your gun under the bus if it was mine. :D

Hello Bill
Excellent looking revolver you have there, and "I wouldn't expect anything else from You" ! I still have that Flier like you have shown with yours that you so graciously passed a copy along to me. Mine Shipped in September 1936 and was found at a Local gun show. The seller that had it was selling it off due to damages to his House roof from the Katrina storm. Who ever said that a Good Situation cannot come out of a Bad One ? I was lucky to land it as I got to it prior to the show being opened to the general public as I had a table set up at the show. We swapped as I had Two revolver's he liked and I was glad to get The Outdoorsman in Trade as ones of this nature do not come along often, and I have not seen one in better condition since then. Mine like yours has some very Minor handling marks and a small dent in one of it's original stock's, keeping it from Pristine condition, but for it's age I can't complain. Mine was not a package deal like yours as the Box came from Boston and the Helpful hints came from Nevada both being gifts from two very good friends who wanted to see this Package all come together... Regards, Hammerdown
