1950 (first year) Pre-27 Factory Fired

In looking at the bid history, there were six people (including your wife) bidding when it got over 3.5K, so I think the comment about it being worth 2.5K-3K is a bit off. Then it was just her and someone else with it hot 4.8K. All the other bidders have feedback, so they aren't shills or noobs.

Your wife is a peach. You've got some catching up to do with her I'm guessing. Maybe with that 3.5K you were willing to go to? :)

I think I know that gun and seller, and if I'm right he's a member here under the same name he sells under.

And his collection is magnificent and if I'm right, the gun will be spectacular.

So maybe she paid a little too much (or a lot too much), she did it to please you. You can always make more money, but ladies like that are priceless.

Congratulations, on both.

The biggest takeaway here, and something I think all of us here will agree, is that you have an amazing wife! The value of the gun is nothing compared to the rarity of that woman. SHE is priceless! Make sure she knows how much you appreciate her and how much the Forum members here envy you.

And, if it really matters, I think the bidding on the gun proves she didn’t overpay by much.

I followed that gun on GB and all I can say is WOW. That said, I've paid a lot for guns that I wanted, and probably overpaid on many. My thoughts - enjoy the gun and enjoy the wife and never, Never, NEVER get in a bidding war with her... because you will lose... :)

P.S. It really is a beautiful package and would be a delight in any collection. We look forward to more photos when you bring it home.:)

They are beautiful guns and good ones don’t come up all that often . Especially with the box. Next time she pisses you off remember this, she a saint.

A wise man once told me that you will never, ever, see a Brinks truck following a hearse, and armed guards will not stand at your grave throwing money bags in...you can't take it with you when you go!

Enjoy your new acquisition...and give your bride a hug on behalf of all your fellow Forum members... :)
