1951 pre-27. It's awesome!

And another one steps onto the slippery "357 Magnum" slope.

Beautiful gun.

What are you gonna do with that holster? You can't stuff that work of art in it and drag it around out in the sticks can you? That would be akin to taking a beautiful woman, dressed in a formal gown, out to a red neck bar for an evening of mud wrestling.

blackdeuce, sure looks like they had a master polisher working the day your .357 went through the finish department. That deep blue finish is just something else.

S&W can still re-finish to those quality levels.
I brought home a 1952 pre-27 6.5-incher last week that my dealer'd sent to the company for a full makeover. It'd been carried a fair amount but shot very little.

It's fully the equal to both of those pictured above.
Mine also has the narrower hammer & trigger.

This is the second factory "restoration" job I own, the first is a 29-5.
Both are gorgeous.

Great buy. It got me a little weak in the knees. 1951 is my year of birth, and I've been looking for a pre-27. Oh well, just gives me something else to look for. Bill

You say that like it's a bad thing. :)

But I agree, that revolver is a beaut and should not be subjected to holster wear. It should however, be shot on occasion.
