For those interested, the publisher sells a DVD set containing all digital GD editions from Edition 1 (1944) onward. Takes up a lot less shelf space than hard copies.

I have been curious about the 1958 Gun Digest for a long time - I had one in the early 60's, and I have seen any number of them over the years, all 1958. I wonder if they had a massive printing overrun and sold them for a song. I used to have that thing just about memorized...
