Hi, I've just found out there's a variant of the 2" S&W Mod. 60 with adjustable rear sight.
Can you please tell me the dash numbers and the production years?
Only .38 or also .357? Blued or stainless?
TIA.

Photo please.
You can look dash number under yoke and serial bottom of grip/frame.
Model 60 is stainless.

Apparently this is a 60-1. I found the picture online and I'm wondering if there are other dash numbers with 2" barrel and adjustable rear sight.

No.

Smith & Wesson made that particular Model 60-1 in 1985. Known
serial numbers began with these four serial number prefixes:
AIV, ALA, ALU, and ANB.

The company didn't make a Model 60 in .357 Magnum until 1996.

The 60-1 2" target was an Ashland Shooters Supply distributor exclusive. There were 660 made. I have one. It's just like the above pictures.

I was lucky to find a new old stock barrel for one (the front sight height is unique to that barrel), and a Model 60-14 target with issues. I had the 60-1 barrel installed on the 60-14, fixed the issues, and removed the internal lock. The barrel is marked .38 Special of course, but he Model 60-14 is a .357. It's a handful!

They made a 60-4 3" target .38spl and a 60-10 3" target in .357. I have those as well.
