200 rounds of ammo is a small arsenal? Really?

Hollowpoints in Jersey, you can own em, target shoot with them and hunt with them. You CANNOT carry them in your firearm. Only active police officers may carry HP's in Jersey. If you (LEO) retire, you must carry BALL or EFMJ rounds.

This shows a serious 'loophole' in the law. If you can't carry hollowpoints, then you shouldn't have EFMJ ammo either. Quick, lets pass a new law!

Actualy, self contained ammo is probably too dangerous for untrained people to have access to. It should be restricted to police and military. Cap & ball is good enough for hunters, target shooting, and SD.

Of course BP is an explosive. So maybe that isn't a good idea either. Best to just restict ownership of all ammo, until 'safety ammo' can be developed.

Over the years I have accumulated probably 30 or 40 1911 magazines. When I take 1911s to the range I load at least 25 magazines of .45 and 8-10 of 10mm. Somewhere close to 300 rounds anyway, I am a bad person.

The point above about being careful what you say to and about government officials is I think a good one! One implied threat could have the board in a lot of trouble under the wrong circumstances

They are going out of their way to "Hit" this guy...

He has been in the NJ papers for weeks, last time it was Connecticut judge that didn't like his remarks and he was arrested (in NJ on a fugitive warrant)for that, I believe they are trying to extradite him up there to face their charges.

He runs a "radical" website and dissed some judges in Chicago. So the FBI arrested him and searched his home , finding the "arsenal."

What I find interesting is that he will be charged in Chicago on these federal charges, he is still trying to make bail, his mom is supposed to be putting her house up Monday for that.

How does anyone afford to defend themselves in these situations?

I escaped from Jersey back in the late 70's. Absolutely ridiculous gun laws...and the average NJ cop is anti gun as well. A very phobic and ignorant attitude towards guns.

IIRC a guy was stopped in one of those NJ State Police Sobriety checks and he had a .44 mag cartridge with a HOLLOW POINT slug.... on his keyring. No primer, no powder....but a HOLLOW POINT bullet!!! Oh My GOD!!

Don't recall what ultimately happened but do recall he was arrested , vehicle impounded, etc. Back in maybe 1995? I think the NRA backed his defense.

Anyone recall the story??
