I did the 2015 PA Steel Challenge last weekend. There were 5 stages, each with 5 targets and you did each stage 5 times. The worst time for each stage gets dropped.
I took 4th out of 25 in the rifle category using my 15-22 SBR. I had to unscrew my silencer baffle so the shot timer would pick up the shots. Not bad for my first competitive shoot.

Absolutely well done Sir.
Great start to competitive shooting.

Rob

At what distance is that? 15 yrds?

Well done a great advert for your shooting skill and the 15-22's shooting prowess.
Bravo Sir
:)

I have shot 3 Steel Challenge matches with my 15-22 now. I have a red dot that I use on it. It is a blast to shoot! I would say about 90% of the people who are shooting rimfire rifle at Steel Challenge matches are using 15-22's. At least that is the ratio near me.
My only complaint has nothing to do with the rifle, but with Steelchallenge.com... they won't classify people who shoot rimfire. I emailed them and told them that I thought that it was dumb that they would allow us to shoot rimfire, but they won't let us classify. They said that they are looking into it. Maybe if enough people emailed them, they would classify us.

LOTSA FUN, HUH!

"I took 4th out of 25 in the rifle category using my 15-22 SBR."

AGoyette: Fun game, isn't it! We started off here w/RF only & rarely did anyone shoot a rifle. Then, w/improved steel, CF pistol was added. Now out of maybe 20 shooters, only 3 or 4 shoot RF (& all pistol, no rifle). I tried my 625-8JM at the last match & found a longg DA revolver trigger pull too difficult for speed as well as accuracy at the small, 35yd targets.

Don't recall the stage design shown on your video.

What kind of SBR setup? Barrel length?

Explain "unscrew my silencer baffle" please. You removed the whole can? Or something else?

It's a SBR by Innovative Arms with a 4.25" barrel.
I unscrewed the baffle and left the silencer shroud in place so it looked like a 10 gauge at the muzzle.

Gotcha. So it's an integral suppressor and you pulled the core out.

Mine is a 4.5" barrel and a Spectre II, so I'm always curious as to other SBR 15-22 builds.
