2017 Super Bowl Commercials ?

What are your thoughts about the Super Bowl Commercials this past weekend? I don't know about the rest of you, but I was totally bummed out & disappointed!

For years, I have considered the Super Bowl Commercials as a part of the total Super Bowl Package, they have always been entertaining and mostly super funny.

This year they were BORING, at least in my humble opinion!

Yup. Boring says it all. And they spent soooo much money to give me a chance to make a bathroom run. :rolleyes:

And since I did not see many of them during the game I have taken an interest in some of the after airing analysis. Several chose to go full on political so I am REALLY happy I did not see them during the game. But the ones I did see during the game just didn't have the same zing...or maybe I am just getting older and wiser? :)

Maybe that's what happened to Toms ring?
He already forgot about it there in the commercial.
Somebody needs to win it who won't LOSE it!
 
I dunno, I thought seeing Melissa McCarthy getting owned by a whale, falling tree, rhino and ice crevasse was pretty amusing. Gentle jab at environmentalists, but don't remember the product. Prefer singing frogs.
 
It's Marketing

Because of the ulta high cost of buying Super bowl advertizing time marketing has tried to get inside your head to have you believe that watching their commercials is a good thing,it's not.

Go get a beer or relieve yourself instead of watching,you won't have missed anything!
 
Seems that the writers are in a new frame or era that we don't get.

They should be sharp, witty, sad or happy, at least interesting...........
or have a point at the end of the story.

I did not understand or like a lot of these new type of commercials.

They need to bring back the dogs, horses, chips or at least the frogs......
 
I never watch the half time commercials, I take a 15 min nap. :)
 
Just finished watching the Super Bowl. Being able to fast forward thru all commercials and halftime was priceless.

I liked the ending of the Mr Clean commercial. Most of them were sub par from the past years though.
I thought this Superbowl ad contest entry that wasn't shown was funny. Pregnant woman and Doritos. Thought I might get a hicky for showing the link here though.

I watched the Super Bowl with my son and with a friend who is ex-Dallas Cowboys. During the commercials, we quit watching and discussed the game. During the half time, we made a pit stop at the bathroom and got more food. Isn't this what we're supposed to do?
