Maybe they can exhume Frank Sinatra for next years half time show. Anything has to be better than ….. I don't know what to even call it or describe it ???? The only thing I recognized was the poor Buick Grand National he was walking all over ….

I see that the Stella Artois commercial was rated the best ??

There are always some really good ads during the SB.
When you consider the price they get charged for airtime during the game it's no wonder they really bring their A game!

Surprisingly enough, the 2 or 3 "I hate you because..." ads with Snoop Dog and Tom Brady were some of the best IMO. Not because they were exceptionally clever or entertaining, but because they put out a message that we all really need to hear and think about these days.

Our country is SO divided right now. The general attitude of far too many people seems to be "if we don't agree 100% then you are my enemy". That tribalism needs to stop.

I hope they play those ads over and over on every channel until we're all sick of them, and that enough people get the message to unify us all - to the point that we don't need to hear them anymore.

Unfortunately, there are actually people criticizing and condemning these ANTI-HATE ads. Why? Because some people are so hate-filled and intent on keeping us divided that they see promoting a message for us all to stop hating "the other side" as a betrayal of "their side"!

I liked the Dunkin' commercial best. The Ultra and Little Caesars ads were amusing. Didn't pay attention to the half time, those are typically awful.
 
I object to the "anti-hate" ads because they smack of Thought Control. It's like prejudice or discrimination, segregation, people have every right to engage in it, avoid people they don't like, disapprove of, what we have decided as a nation is that it will not be allowed in the public sphere.

I couldn't disagree more. Persuasion isn't mind control. It's part of real public discourse.
How is saying "the reasons for hate are as stupid as they sound" mind control? It's pointing out the obvious truth.
Are people free to hate each other? Sure they are. Is trying to help them see that their hatred is harmful and senseless a bad thing?
I don't think so. But of course you're entitled to your opinion and even to prejudice, bigotry, and hatred if you like.
But that's not what I think we need. JMO.
You're even entitled to segregate yourself if you want to. But you aren't entitled to segregate or discriminate against other people. That would be a case of you using your rights to infringe on the rights of others.
What we have decided as a nation is that "All men are created equal", and we've been (mostly) moving towards making that ideal a reality for almost 250 years. Speaking out against ideas and attitudes that oppose that principle aren't mind control. They are encouragements for us all to see each other as equals.
How is that a bad thing?

THis might have been the first super bowl for me where none of the ads made much of an impression. Certainly nothing to talk about afterward.
 
I watched the entire game and thought it was really good ...but the half time show ??
My wife watched less than 5 minutes of it . I wanted to at least give it a chance and got through about 15 minutes before moving on .
It was pretty bad.
