2020 Update: You can only have twelve firearms. What are they & why?

An MG 42 and 50,000 rounds belted up. Plus 50 extra barrels.
 
I've got more than 12....

...and a few of those I could part with, but I'd like to replace them with something more suitable for my needs so the number stays constantly over 12. I guess I'm not a good contestant for this.
 
Alas, I read that South Africans lacking a special collectors licence actually do have a 12 gun limit. One would surely want a 9mm, a 5.56 0r 7.62mm rifle, and a .375 H&H. And a stainless snub .38. And a .270, 7mm, or .30-06 for lighter plains game, duiker, bushbuck and the like.

Many of the African countries ban private ownership of weapons in military calibers, not sure if South Africa is one of them...

Here in Australia, our gun laws are quite restrictive. My list is loosely based on what we are alllowed to have.
