How about a deluxe model 627 in high polished SS, with no lock, Case Colored hammer & trigger, P&R, checkered top strap, PC action job, and quality factory wood grips in the "Coke" style. To compete with the new Python.

A similar Deluxe model 629 would be nice as well.

Matter of fact, being a limited production item, how about carbon steel with real high polish salt bluing? S&W may not do that finish any longer, but custom shops out there do, and Smith could contract the finish out. I'd pay the extra for one. Colt's new Pythons & Anaconda's sell for $1500 a pop, and they sell like hotcakes, proving there is still a market for a higher priced quality revolver.

I just got an FPC, but this is more to my liking. I'd sell the FPC and pick this up in a heartbeat.

The page has been taken down, interesting.......

Thought it was just me.:)

So S&W will release an AR-syle, straight blowback PCC for some stupid price like $950. Color me unimpressed when I can get a 5.56 NATO AR for under $500.

How about the opening of a NEW QUALITY CONTROL center and a new larger repair center to address the huge numbers of returned warranty repairs that takes 6 weeks or more to work through the backlog.

They just did. Tennesseans are calling the shots now… thank you very much. We will get them straightened out now that they are in the patron state of shootin' stuff. :D

:p

Something in 357sig would be nice! Probably a bolt action in an already done cartridge? Or a new s&w rifle cartridge of their name? I'm sure I'll be 0-4! hahahaHAAHaaahAAA

So this is a maybe S&W version of a wanta be AR9 ? No way .

I picked the proper AR15 upper and lower from aero precision and a stoner adaptor to assemble a proper AR9 carbine in the late '90's and nooo polymer upper or lower yet it still weight in under 7lbs .

The last time I remember this happening was when Springfield Armory was holding a similar secret event to unveil their new Eschelon pistol.

One of the retailers accidently posted the information and it was immediately taken offline.

I would say this is probably what happened with the Response. It's just too much of a coincidence that a firearm that is not listed on the S&W webpage, wearing the Response name (which by the way is mentioned in S&Ws announcement), complete with specs, UPC number, and everything is now mysteriously removed from view.

I would say that RK guns made a mistake and revealed the new S&W offering and now some marketing executive is getting spanked.
