22/32 kit gun

I have a 22/32 kit gun ser# 94xx NIB it has a dull blue finish rather than a bright blue. Was this a common difference in a 1954 gun? pls. advise Dan

Seems so to me, judging by my 7xxx pre-34.

I believe it was common for guns of that era to have more of a satin finish,rather than lustrous blue,though I am speaking from my limited experience in primarily looking at post war K22s.

In a word....Yes.
The guns right after the war and up 'til the early 50s had a duller finish than before and later in the 60s. It is generally more noticeable on the K guns and I have never really noticed it on J-frame kit guns, but I am sure it is the case.
