22 ar pistol questions

I was at my local pawn shop and ran across one of the S&W, I guess you would call it an AR pistol. It has a light and laser on it and a Phantom multi reticle scope.
I decided to buy it as I had never saw one before. I was wondering what sights came on these? I would like to maybe put it back to original. I have a 15-22 that came with Magpul sights on it. I am wondering what make and model sights came on this originally?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know (going on original pictures of the 15-22P), it came with the standard (UTG) irons that are on the rifle.

Those are very hard to find and the price is usually something insane north of $800.

As I say I found it at a pawn shop.
It was 373.00 out the door. It is an interesting piece.

On the sights, on the post above, those are really pricey.
I found some of the UTG sights. From what I can gather the ones on the 15-22 's have no markings on them.

I was looking at the PTS MBUS sights. I know these a like a plastic. I may never put them on this, but would like to have them in case.

Beware if the doorbell rings. It will probably be the cops. You STOLE that gun. You had better frequent that pawn shop a lot. He obviously doesn't know his guns. And apparently doesn't bother to use the internet to check values. If he had even made a quick 5 minute check on that item he would have started his price at $800 and maybe gone down a little bit.

Theyre the same sights that come with the non magpul 15-22 rifle. No markings on them. Im sure you can find some takeoffs on ebay. You should be fine with the PTS sights for backups on a 22 gun but they are known to break on their own. I recommend changing the red dot scope for a reflex sight. That one is taking up a lot of rail space and these pistols don't have much to begin with.

Hi Just curious does the M&P 15-22 "pistol" upper fit onto a M&P 15-22 "rifle" lower?

and yes if it works I know it would make it a SBR form 1 weapon...Just curious that's all...

Yes, the pistol upper will fit on the rifle lower. There is language in the user manual that mentions you need to follow NFA rules.

It would be an SBR (NFA/Title II firearm), but only form 1 if you did it yourself. A manufacturer could do a form 2 to make it and transfer it on a form 4.

Do not under any circumstances put a vertical grip on the barrel. That makes it a class 3 AOW firearm and possession of the gun and grip will get you in huge trouble with BATFE.

Google AOW & vertical grip.

No pistol is allowed to have a forward grip. You can have lights, lasers and bipods. But nothing you "grip" just for the sake of holding it steady.

I've got a pair of the sights that came on the 15-22 that I no longer need. Open to trades?

You can use an angled forgrip on a pistol, just not a vertical.

The difference between a vertical and angled grip is about 10 years in jail. Sad, but true.
