Don't know if it is already mentioned before,
I stick a MP15-22 magazine into my CMMG Quebec dedicated .22 AR and and it works!
But last shot will not hold bolt open though. :(

And CMMG .22 magazine will not work with MP15-22 gun.

Interesting, do you think it might fit a standard AR lower with a .22lr conversion ?

It should work as well.

My .22 dedeciated AR has standard AR lower with a CMMG .22 bolt conversion kit.

Last round hold open does not work because the mechanism on the mag does not hit the bolt catch.
And the follower does not go up high enough to hold the bolt like Black Dog does.
This is very interesting. What other mags will work with the conversions or the 15-22?

If somehow there is a connecting piece (imagine: an AR bolt catch with extended tongue (in blue))
bridging between the MP15-22 magazine follower and the bolt catch (to push it up) I think it will work.

If this modified bolt catch (with extended tongue) work, it will be a huge hit for AR dedicated upper users. :)

That would be a nice simple addition. Get some JB weld and make it work. The JB weld would need to be on the bolt catch. I think it will work perfectly.

I have used 15-22 mags with my Colt/ CMMG conversion with some success. However, there was a lot of slop in the magazine/ mag well fit and if there was any pressure against the magazine (from bench, or hand), a malfunction was a shot or two in the future. Truth be told, the CMMG mags are just as bad though (that's the problem when items are made to fit numerous different manufacturers).

As far as the bolt hold open, that's a farce with the CMMG unit I have because as soon as you pull the mag out of the well, the bolt closes anyway! That's one thing I love about my 15-22... the bolt catch works just like the real thing. I think I saw something recently, indicating CMMG was introducing a conversion kit that actually activated the bolt catch (would be nice for those of us trying to engage in cheap duty rifle practice).

CMMG I believe had a new version of their .22 kits at SHOT last week and have a true bolt hold open now.
