A model of 1953 22/32/ Kit Gun, what would later be known as a Mod 34. They are fun little guns. Here are a couple below, a round butt and a square butt model, one with the matt blue and the other bright blue.

Rich,

You have a "Model of 1953 .22/32 Kit Gun" made on the NEW I frame with a 3 screw side plate. It's a .22 cal revolver built on the original .32 cal sized frame. If it's not stamped Mod 34 in the frame cutout, visible when the cyl is swung open, then it likely shipped from the factory in mid to late 1958. Also nicknamed a Pre model 34 by collectors.

Very desirable and in very good condition with most of the original bluing, they generally can be found for $600- $800. More with the original box and tools. That sq butt version is less common than the rd butt versions, especially in that early vintage.

They were discontinued in ~ Oct. 1960 and reintroduced with the 1/8" longer cyl window and cyl on the J frame as the Model 34-1.
