Does anyone have a .22mag 351 PD and if so, how do you like it? I never see them mentioned on the forum. Anyone carry one as backup or primary?

Why trust your life to a .22 Mag? A .38 spl. will do a better job with a larger bullet. It simply makes a bigger hole!

The heavy bullet (158 gr.) will penetrate much better, causing more damage. The greater the damage....the more likelyhood that it will stop the attack. (Assuming you were being attacked.

Experts reccomend at least a .38spl. or a 9 mm. A .45 is never a mistake!!!

Fun gun to shoot, but loud. There have been several recent threads on the 351PD. I love mine, but it damaged my hearing.

I like mine a lot and carry it in hot weather loaded with Winchester Dynapoints. No, it's not going to blow a door off its hinges but it's lots better than pummeling someone with my arthritic fists. It is a close-range weapon only, as beyond 7 yards it shoots high and right. I had the hammer bobbed and put a set of Hogue Bantam grips on it. You need to clean the cylinder every time you shoot or the rounds will become difficult to seat in the chambers.

I recently got a 351PD as a first pistol for my wife. Of course, she has not shot it yet but I have been having a blast with it. It is quite accurate and has almost no recoil. She has very bad arthritis and there was no way she would shoot any revolver that damages her wrist enough to get proficient with it.

I picked this gun because I wanted the lightest possible weapon for her to carry. I was going to buy her a 432, but balked when I noticed it is somewhat hard to find ammo. (Still want one though.) The 351 is a definite keeper and is the pistol I pocket when walking around in the woods. Since my daily carry is a J frame, I am very familiar with it.

I'd recommend this pistol to anyone who is adverse to recoil but wants something more than a 22LR. Ammo is more expensive, but not bad.

My wife has one with Crimson Trace LG-405 grips and loves it. Her primary load is CCI Maxi-Mag +V (30 gr. JHP).

Try some CCI. Rem, or Federal ammo. The WW mag ammo is very dirty, and has problems loading as you mentioned. I have seen this problem in every 22 Magnum I have shot, and these guns would no problems with CCI or other brands. The white box WW 22 Mag have a very high FF rate also, near 20% failure rate.

I have a 351 pd and it shoots high and to the right. But I still like the little gun. I have ordered a higher front sight for it but have not changed it yet. But I still like the gun a hole lot

I like mine, a lot. The very best ammo for it--I've tried just about everything--turns out to be Win. Supreme 34 Gr. HPs. Enough penetration and muzzle energy (112 ft lbs), up close, for rabid critters up to large dog size.

I now carry it as a pocket gun loaded with snake shot in the first two chambers; Supremes in the other five. Aside from snake medicine, it is just the ticket for finishing (head) shots on turkey and deer, and head shots with snake shot for wounded dove and quail that flutter off into thick brush when you try to retrieve them.

It is not a target gun or the best trail gun or a first choice defensive weapon. But it can kill a man if, Lord forbid, it comes down to that. Just the noise and flash at night will scare hell out of someone looking for easy pickings.

It's not a .38, but it's what I find myself putting in my pocket when walking every night, or fishing, and as an "always" gun in the field, despite the "real" gun on my hip.

?? Gone through about 5 boxes in a Ruger
1 FTF, Turned it in the cylinder, fired ok
