My 2213 has a anchor with a U on the left side of the anchor and a S on the right side of the anchor. This is all located beneath the model and serial numbers on the left side.

It has the threaded adapter on the barrel.

Any significance to this US Anchor making?

Thank you.

Well, I'm 60 miles from home. Was on my way into town to trade this pistol in. Lol, just noticed insignia for the first time. The best I can do until I return home is to email a pic to someone.

If you will email it to me I'll post it.

Thanks,

does it have a fiber optic front site? i can see something red

+1 on the factory letter. It would be fascinating to know if this is truly a U.S. military purchase.

If you are looking to sell this I might be interested. I've been keeping my eye open for a 2213 but they seem to show up in spurts. PM me if you're interested.

Wow, that is an intriguing 2213. My first thought was someone from Navy stamped it on their own--but the "U" matches the stamping in the serial number. Would be a gun that I would more likely get a Jinks letter on. Please let us know what you find out.

Ok, mystery solved... I returned to the LGS where I purchased the 2213. I asked the owner if he knew the history of this pistol. He said not really, but the former owner was standing down at the end of the counter :)

The previous owner is a retired Navy guy. He put the US Anchor on this particular 2213. Thank you to everyone for the great comments. Cased closed.

Well, that was certainly less expensive than a letter from Roy. Glad you solved the mystery.

Yes, and thanks for the follow up.

My pleasure! This is a great forum. I am still looking for a 2206 to replace the new one I stupidly sold years ago when they first came out.

I forgot to mention that I traded the 2213 in on a new Glock 26 G4. I took it to the range today. By my skill standards (mediocre, lol) it is a tack driver. Much better pistol than the *** Glock 36 I had 9 years ago. I later found out the G1 36's had issues. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the update. Have to give the previous owner credit, as he did a pretty good job stamping it.
