Today at the range my wife's 22compact had an amusing incident. After feeding the last round the base plate disengaged, slipped off and launched the retainer. Never saw that happen before. We were able to recover all but the retainer. Will call CS tomorrow to get a replacement.

Anyone else ever had this happen while shooting.

It's not super common, but it does happen. The base plate disengages and the guts shoot out. I've seen it happen a couple of times. Mags should not do that.
