I love .22's and probably own more .22's than anything else! I have a few K22's and I really like .22 trainers but if I see something and its out of the ordinary and in .22 LR I will most likely try and buy it, I just can't help myself!

As always those are some pretty great pieces, but what is the single shot 2nd from the top?

22s are my favorite.... Seeing yalls pics and reading the commentary..... I do aspire!

Very nice display! I assume they are shooters.

Probably the oldest breach loading ammunition in existence, ultra inexpensive, you may fit about 150 rounds in a cigarette pack, no recoil, little noise, and a well placed shot will do more damage than you'd think! Also, given the myriad offerings by all manufacturers, what is not to like?? :)

I only had the S&W 22S a year ago, I had a 22 rifle post and ended up getting a few more...

My policy has always been to buy every quality .22 that looks like fun. They are the only guns I could afford to shoot a lot, and like variety.

Funny though my first two are still my favorites, and sometimes wonder why I ever bought another .22? First was aMarlin 39a second a stainless Ruger single six.

Good looking bunch. I have to ask, what is the 2nd from the top semi(?). I don't recognize it, and it looks like possibly a tip forward single shot?

Yeah actually. I'll just go from top down:

1) Colt Camp Perry Model + King sights + Ropers

2) Casimir Weber single shot 22: "I knew this about you when I married you"

3) Colt SAA whats been messed with: Christy Modified .22LR 1884 Colt SAA

4) K22/40 King Super Target + Ropers

5) Colt Woodsman Match Target, pre war Bullseye, King Super Target + King barrel weight set + A.E. Berdon work + John Giles Work / Rear Sight + Ropers

6) .22/32 "Virtual" Pre-War Kit gun (looks to have been fixed up most likely at the factory post war) + Rosewood Kearsarge stocks

Basically, it's just all my very favorite .22s. I love owning, and shooting, all of them.

Yes they are and not just the handguns.
Rifles get me all the time too.
.22's are a weak spot for me.
Just so many neat ones out there.
It used to even be quite a marketing ploy to put fine ones out there for kids to establish brand loyalty as they aged.

The handguns get me too..............but you already knew that.

Funny thing, I never count the 22's in my collection. Come to think of it I have more than I thought. I used to take them out for some cheap plinking and target practice. Now that 22lr is reasonable again I'll start taking one or two out the the range again.

.22s can be a fun addiction. I just did a quick check and found that I have 21 of them. I guess that means that I need one more to make an even 22 .22s. :D

They are fun to collect. Even more fun to shoot. I can tell you from experience though that there is no stopping at # 22 ( or any other fixed quantity for that matter.) You are correct that you are always just one more away from having enough though :-)

Thanks to those who provided some pics of great old time craftsmanship and great looking rifles and pistols. Much more appealing and collectible than a Savage Rascal!! Don't think anyone will be showing that one off down the road! LOL

I made a tally, and including conversion kits and contender barrels I'm over 30. Not sure how that happened.

First rifle that I shot was a 22.
First handgun I ever shot was a tip-up barrel Berreta 22.
I like my 22s and have several.
Dont have a complete group shot,
Here’s Three I just cleaned.
