.22s at Wal-Mart!

I'm glad they are limiting the amount you can buy. A person should be able to go to the store and pick up a box of ammo if need be.
I got a box of Federal Auto Match the other day. That's good stuff for my use. $17.99 for 325 rounds.

Yesterday, got to Cabela’s at opening.
Followed the herd back to the Ammo.
They had a fair amount on a shelf behind a counter.
When it was my turn I asked for 9mm.
Since I am a Card Carrying Club Member I could buy 8 Boxes at $16.99 a box. Herters 115 Grain Ball.

Local wally world last time I was there had nothing but a couple of the more expensive shotgun shells. No 22's, maybe a couple boxes of hunting ammo. One guy came in looking for a couple boxes of 30-30's. Nope no cigar. This store does not stock reloading supplies, mostly some of the cheaper brands of various arrows and hunting blades for the arrows. Only gun shop in town does not stock any reloading stuff at all. So if I want to get any reloading stuff have to search on some of the larger places like Midway,Grafs, or Natchez. Frank

A couple of weeks ago, my go to LGS was stocked to the gills with all kinds of ammo. The owner said that things were definitely starting to slow and more stuff was breaking free from the distributors. There's still a wait for guns that are ordered. The 9mm was $45 a box. He must have been right about things slowing because today I got an email from them saying they had 9mm at the reduced price of $35 a box. I think we're on the back side of this now. If the big boxes start getting ammo in volume with regularity, you'll see the prices start downward fast.

CCI 22 Quiets work best from med to long barrel bolt actions. Living in town where no shooting they are quieter than a pump up 22 pellet rifle. Deserving pests are easy to take care of with Quite. Almost like having a suppressor.

Seems the local WM is getting more ammo in on a more regular basis. Yesterday there were 22's, 410, 16, 20 and 12 ga. shotshells, 30-30, 30-06 and 308Win in the cabinet. All at regular/pre-pandemic prices. 3 box limit, but that's 3 boxes more than I had! You may not like WM, but they're the only place NOT gouging on ammo prices.

Local Walmart on Friday had Remington Thunderbolt at about $9.00 per box of 100 22lr. Still too high for me for garbage ammo and I bought 1000 rounds of Winchester M22 40 grain 22lr for under a nickel a round so I'm not gonna pay almost double that for the Thunderbolts.

Our Wal Mart hasn't had any ammo in forever it seems. The LGS has had some 9MM $48/100 and they did have some 22LR last week. $5.29/box limit two. I passed as I stocked up big time during the last go around.
