Hello folks,
Earlier this yr I picked up a 24-3 61/2" and i really like it, I have an opportunity to buy a 3" 24-3, no box or paper work, The combat grips don't have the medallion so I'm sure they are not original to the gun. the asking price is 1250$ what do you think of the price? Condition is very good.

Check the completed listings on Gunbroker. That doesnt give you a real value, but it shows what someone was willing to pay.

One went for $1600 with original combat grips, box papers, and tools.

Another sold for $1775 with incorrect grips and no box, etc.

Combat grips would probably run $200 to $300 if you can find a pair. Maybe more.

You mention very good condition. I think the guns on GB were called excellent.

I bought a 4" we agreed was probably unfired 2 years ago, No box but tools and paperwork for $1450 and think I did excellent. I would try to get it for less but take a hard look at it if you like the cartridge.

Based on what I see on GB the $1250 might not be bad, I would still test the waters with negotiation. To give you a comparison the rarer 24-3 4" sold on GB last night, wo box papers etc. but correct grips, for $1235+ shipping +tax and whatever fees to receive it.
They only made between 2500 to 2650 4" and 5000 3". I own both, bought 2 of each when they came out. One of each are still unfired. I bought a pair 624's in same barrel lengths, as shooters, when they came out and sold the 24 shooters to a friend, who had other items I wanted.
