Completed Gunbroker auction # 175680877. The final bid was $3,775 after 51 bids. 3 1/2" 27-1 in very nice condition.

I know 3 1/2" 27's and pre 27's are very desirable guns, and I know -1 guns are normally scarce. But, can anyone explain why this one brought this high a bid?

I consider myself reasonably educated about S&W values, with a lot to still learn. Please educate me.

Thank you.

Someone posted in another thread about this gun that the rarity of -1, plus the condition, plus this gun was ordered from the factory with all the most desirable options.

I picked this up earlier this year w/ the Berns-Martin rig.
May have some minor Texas Lawman History...still doing some research.

Honest wear from the old rig...I paid $600.00.
Glad to add it to my little collection.

I call BS on this! Common and get real with the "staged" auction results. It is a fraud and only drives the honest collectors out of the market! Kyle

I don't know about calling BS on this one, but I do know that honest collectors have driven us acquirers/ shooters out of the market some time ago. Such is life.:(
