Picked up this nice 27-2 here recently. I wasn`t really looking for a 5" but I couldn`t resist as they are not very common. Came with a presentation case and literature. The 27-2 is in very good shape with just some minor finish wear to the cylinder and a little holster wear. I did take the pictures before I removed the red finger nail polish on the front sight. Acetone does wonders in that department.

The balance is no joke and is very nice and I can`t wait to try it out at the range this weekend!

Very nice!

I always thought that 5" barrels on N frames just look "correct" but I'm probably biased, I have a 27-2 5" that came in a Texas Department of Public Safety presentation case.

Good score, enjoy!

I definitely agree with you on that. 5" is perfect symmetry on the N frame.

Very nice pictures of a great gun! Thank you for sharing!

Very nice indeed! :D
I consider the 5" to be the perfect barrel length for a N-frame. It just looks and feels so right. ;)

She’s sure perty!
I only have one 5” 27-2 from the Florida Highway Patrol, but it doesn’t have a case or any goodies. For me I prefer my 27s with 3.5 to 5 inch barrels.

It's not a-2 but I really love my 5in 27-5 and tend to think that not many were made, got it two years ago new no box. One day I'll get it to the range. Oh never mind the 19-3 sorry.

Had just a minor issue when I first when to shot it. Had a few misfires in Single action and plenty of misfires in double action. Primers were not hit hard enough. My mind went straight to the strain screw and sure enough it wasn`t tight enough at all. Once that was sorted the 27-2 shot like a champ. Hard to say anything negative on the shooting experience of a classic N frame smith. I was ringing steel targets at 15 yards with ease. Love it!

Lastly my Colt to Smith and Wesson ratio is getting more balanced. I still need a few more Smiths to even it out. Good problem to have.
