I'd say you got a great deal and should be pleased as punch. That's a great looking 27-2 and the top strap checkering on an 8 3/8 inch tube is awesome to behold.
I have a near mint blued 27-2 in 8 3/8 inch barrel and I just melt when I look at it.

I think you did real good. Flitz does wondersand might clean those spots right up. Don

Very nice 27. You did very well IMO. Shoot the heck outta it. Mine handles .357's like a champ.

Flitz or Mothers in moderation should help those bad spots.

That's a great price even if it was a little beat up and worn. They are great shooters, you can't wear them out, and they will hold their value in much worse condition than that one. Nice purchase. You will have years of pleasure with it. I wouldn't worry about the cosmetic flaws, it is not a new in box, so just shoot it and enjoy it.

A Bargain for sure. I can tell you that I have saved and brought back worse looking Nickel finish's that that. get Ya some Flitz and don't be afraid to go after that Milky Look on the cylinder as Flitz will get rid of it, and Turn that revolver into a Gleaming Beauty again..
