$810 was a pretty good price I think but how much was added for buyer's premium, shipping & handling, taxes, and ? RIA and comparable auction houses add at least 17.5% plus tax, etc. so total price would be in the $1000+ range which still might not be a bad price. Maybe there are still some auctions without large buyer's premiums?

They charge a flat 10%, then shipping to a dealer. I have bought from them in the past and shipping rates are around $40-50 ( they charge actual shipping cost ) to your FFL. So that being said it would still be under a grand. If I hadn't been distracted I would have chased after it!
 
I'm always surprised about this weird fact: American guns are always more expensive at home than here in Europe. I paid my unfired 5" 27-2, NIB, with wax paper, papers and manual (without SAT & mup) 730* , i.e. around 789$ .

Of course the rule of supply and demand dominates the market, but handguns are sought after even in the Old Continent....
