I traded into a very nice 5" Model 27 Friday. I don't have the SN, as I left it in my display case at the gun show but it is ~ S200xxx. I've never had one before but it goes well with my other 5 screw 357's from the early an mid 1950's. I understand these carry a pretty hefty premium over other Model 27's. It had some nice smooth targets on it which I know are not correct but I had a set of magnas, numbered S210xx that I put on it. Any insight on the current market on these? I'll check in later, after the show with pictures.

Congratulations

Looking forward to seeing it...and the smooth targets.....please

You can't really know it didn't come with them without lettering it.
Unless of course they are the wrong vintage.

Congratulations on your 27 no dash. Not sure of current value but a member here on the forum sold a 6 1/2'' no dash for right at $2000.00 recently. I was fortunate several years ago to find a 6 1/2" no dash in VG condition for a whole lot less money. Enjoy and post pics when you get a chance.

Congrats on a great find! Can't wait to see her.
This 5" 4-screw "no-dash" is a birth-year revolver for me. No letter but the 4th Edition puts it in that range so I'm good with that. She came with the Cokes,

I got it into some strong light this morning. The Fairground venue has what I call "seller's light" and it's hard to see little flaws without a good flash light. Minor handling marks with light holster use but over all, a very nice example of a 1958/59 Model 27. As to Weatherby's point, the smooth targets had stainless stock circle inserts. SN S200418 for those who keep a data base. It will display well with my 5 screw 357s. Now I need a non-model marked 4 screw and a -1. :D
