Took this to the range today for the first time.
A short but fun sesh.
I got the presentation case from eBay.
I don’t know what gun came with it originally, but I figured a California association of highway patrolmen case would be a nice little touch.

That's a nice HP, and you acquired a cool presentation case for it! I picked up my minty 6" Model 28-2 (ca. 1974-1977) a few years ago when no one seemed interested in 6" HPs! Found it at a local gun show and walked out the door for $575. Later I found a blue box on eBay for mine for $30. The HPs are certainly great and fun shooters. The only fancy presentation case I have was part of my 1973 Texas Ranger Commemorative set. It was a little beat up, so I refinished it in a Texas post oak finish. Enjoy!

My guess is one of those Model 68 Commemoratives that were available in the past (1980’s?).
