It was a great day for a 2nd amendment rally. Several hundred people attended the event and enjoyed the sunny and 45 degree weather. Many people driving by the Porter County, IN courthouse honked and showed their support as well. For me the day was filled with awesomeness and started with seeing over two dozen hawks of various species on the drive up to the rally. I talked with a number of really good people while taking pictures at the rally and afterwards went out to eat at Portillo's in Merrilville, IN with friends that accompanied me to the rally. After eating at Portillo's, we ventured to Winamac, IN to go shooting. It was a very good day!
Go HERE for more pictures.
Law enforcement was present during the first 30 minutes of the rally.
The Military Arms Channel was on site and filmed the entire event. Maybe we will see the rally featured in a video sometime?
These gentlemen drove over 3.5 hours to attend the rally. That is dedication! Thank you for coming and showing your support!
Pictured here are the organizers of the rally. Thank you for putting together a successful rally!
If you ever find yourself in Porter County and need a good place to eat, I highly recommend Portillo's
Italian beef sandwich and chocolate cake shake. Good stuff!
After eating at Portillo's in Merrillville, IN, we ventured off to the Winamac DNR Range for a bit of shooting. Unfortunately by the time we got there it was closed. The DNR Range closes at 5pm until April 1st when winter hours end and it stays open till 7pm. Luckily we met someone there who let us shoot at their private range.
