Good afternoon all. I picked up my repaired 645 from the gunsmith today. I was pleased to see the new rear sight he installed on my gun. Amazingly, it is now a 3 dot adjustable sighted gun versus the original football goal sight, a marked improvement Even better he provided me with the package it arrived in. The company that makes replacement sights ( high quality ) for the 2nd and 3rd generation sights is called LPA. If you google LPA sights it pops right up. They have all kinds of sights for 645's, 4506's, etc. If this has already been covered in another thread I apologize, but I wanted you guys to know I found at least some sight parts for our guns. :D

Millet also made gen2/3 sights at one time. I have one on my 4566. It requires a taller front sight, so the LPA is probably a better option. I have one on one of my STI's and they are very nice sights. Plan on installing one on my 5906 if I ever put it back together again. It's been used for a photo prop for sight pusher pics for the last thee years. I need to find a slide to use so I can get the 5906 back together before I loose all the parts!

LPA-TPU

My 1076 has a LPA-TPU (with dots) on the rear. It's well regulated to the factory front sight. I don't know if other calibers would be regulated the same but it does have plenty of adjustment.

Unrelated to the post but, how do you post such good pictures? I have tried and can't!

If you upload your pictures to Photobucket (free, but with ads) you can then copy the "img" link for that picture & paste it in the post you're composing. Check the Photobucket options so that posted pictures don't allow access back to your Photobucket album.

I couldn't find anything on their website concerning specific models they fit. They just say for 3d gen Smiths. Anyone know if they have sights for the value line models - 908, 457, etc. These models have a different dovetail from other 3d Gens and since plastic sights are standard are most in need of replacements. So far, the only aftermarket sights I've found for the valueline models are Trijicons.
