I have 5 CCW. Like this one the best. Purchased NIB in 1967.

I personally never cared for the 3 inchers. I always thought they were more gun than you really needed, meaning a J frame was just meant to be a 2 inch snout.

Then I joined the Smith & Wesson forum and saw all these awesome pics.

Now I gotta have one!!! :D

Gorgeous pics, guys! :)

This 3" J frame was my first S&W revolver I purchased after I turned 21.

It has since been joined by this one.

I saw one of these (a Model 36) today at a gun show. Very good looking gun, and after talking to the vendor, it turns out he's a member here on this forum. I wish I would have had the money to pick it up.

I like a 3 inch as well. Especially one that doesn't have a hammer to stick in my belly!!!

I am also a 3" J frame fan.
In a moment of weakness I recently traded this 36-1 HB RB for an HK4

A bobbed hammer 3-inch J-frame? 3-inch .357 J-frames? Wow! Love all those 3-inchers! I only own one, a K65-5, but now I want a J-frame in 3inch!

60-15 with Hi-Viz sights. Have tried many, many different grips. With the Hogues, no other hand gun fits my hands better and the sights work great for my getting older eyes. I gladly trade one round in capacity going from K to J for the awesome fit and balance. Prints cloverleaf groups at 10 yards, all steel construction makes +p recoil very manageable. For some reason I shoot better DA than SA with this baby.

KSCowboy,
I really like the front sight on your 3-inch Model 60! Where did you get it? I'd like to have one of those put on mine!

I have a 3-inch model 60, but mine has the dreaded "hole". I don't use the safety, and it has never turned itself on unexpectedly, so it doesn't really bother me much. I also have a 3-inch Model 37 that I really like. I just ordered a 3-inch adjustable sight Model 317 in 22 rimfire. When it arrives I'll take some photos of these three guns and post them on this thread. Something about the 3-inch barrel on these guns makes them seem perfect. I like the longer ejector rod of the 3-inch guns over the short ejector rod of a 2-inch gun.
