3 inch Python

I've got $1,700 cash set aside just for when one does come available.
Same here, on the list and have a few (gun) people looking for me too.
I did win one for $1,600 on GB, but failed to notice he didn't accept CC's and only cash forms of payment so I had to back out because I won't use anything other than a CC for on-line purchases for my protection. My bad, I should've read his payments terms more carefully.

I saw a 3" stainless Python at gun show Saturday. It was not on display and the owner had stepped away. I was quoted $ 1600 out the door. Owner returned and was hesitant. He wanted to think about it. After 10 minutes he decided not to sell it A local store has them from time to time. I guess I should put my name on the list.

My two blue Pythons are lonely around all those Smith in my safe.

Then there were two

Well, well, well I got the call from my lgs that had my name first on the list last Monday.
Really wished Colt had stayed with the original detective grips these came with back in the day? To be changed ASAP!

Apparently the dust settled on 2/19/22. I found this 3" sweetheart at a show here in Vegas, It was the only Python (old or new) in the show. Traded into it for about MSRP

Missed another this weekend. Forum friend called, "they have a 3 inch Python". A very few dollars north of MSRP. About 5 miles away from me.

Sat 3pm, store closing at 5. Busy, could not get there. K, if it's there Monday @10 when it reopens I'll get it.

Got there 10am yesterday when the door opened, GONE 😱

There'll be another. 👀

More and more Colts are out there these days though not many 3" Pythons yet. I've only seen two, and I got one of them. One of our LGS had a 4", a 6" and an 8" Anaconda all in stock yesterday, all priced at $1599 - a bit over MSRP but not as high as some I've seen. Good luck on your hunt!

6" Python for me next, unless they release the 2.5" Python detective or even the 3.5" super rare Boa?
$1,649.00 on my 3", so not too ~bad.
The lgs received 2 3", the second guy backed out so Tracy, the mgr., took the other one home.

I want a bright stainless 2.5".
Are they gonna make a 2.5?

I think it's unlikely, at least not in the near future. Too close to the 3". I would also prefer a 2.5" to the 3". I'll keep looking for a nice original 2.5", preferably in nickel.

Just received the May issue of Guns&Ammo. Contains a review of the new 3 inch python in case anyone is interested. M.S.R.P of $1500. Would love to see a blued version myself. Heard the original 3 inch were most rare and only made a short time.

Isn't the Boa the rarest of all with the 3.5"?
I don't know.
I'll be stopping on the way home to pick that G&A up, thanks.
EDIT: found out the Boa was a limited run of 1200 4" and 1200 6" for Lou Horton.

Guns.com has a new 3" Python for $1,625 in stock if anybody's interested?

There do not appear to be too many of the 2 1/2" Ultimate Stainless Pythons out there. I would not be holding out for one.

Buy the 3" now, if/when a 2 1/2" shows up buy it and sell off the 3"

This 2 1/2" Ultimate Stainless Python was manufactured back in 1983. The evolver has one of Walt Shermon's roller bearing action jobs. It is truly an unbelievable firearm. The revolver was carried for a while, however today it sits in my desk :)

BTW, I am waiting on my 3" just like most of us Forum dwellers . . . I already told my LGS I want one as soon as they show up.

Beautiful piece, Trooper.

I saw a 3" this morning.I would have bought it 10 or 15 years ago, I have way to many guns now.It was priced $1695.

The BOA was not a Python, it was a Trooper Mark V with a Python barrel and Royal Blue finish

1200 total were produced. 600 of each barrel length. The odd serial numbers were 4" barrels while the even numbers were the 6" guns. That way you could own one of each and have a consecutive pair.

I sold mine a few years back when the prices hit the multi thousand mark
