Yes, in both models. But I don't think they were ever catalogued.
Someone may post photos.
About 1970, I saw my first, in a Gunfacts story by the late Harry Archer, a USAID operative working in South America. He used his nickled M-19 in that length to kill a number of animals and to intimidate a former Nazi who hated him.
The French President's bodyguard service ordered some, and Archer got an overrun piece via a buddy at the factory. He also used a snub M-60 effectively in the jungle, with hot handloads.
The Peruvian National Police also got some with fixed sghts.
A California drug agency had M-66's and some also reached the open market.
M-19's were produced in limited numbers with the 3 inch barrel. Recently Cabeles offered one for sale. If I remember correctly the asking price was close to $5,000.00
The photo below was posed by a forum member sometime ago, and appears to be in much better condition than the one Cabeles is offering.
Pretty funny, Ive never saved a gun photo or collected a photo of any gun(except my own) just wasnt interested. Though it was weird when I saw people pulling their adds due to "GUN PORN" people just wanting photos of their guns. Any body can have any of mine.
BUT I must admit, IM GUILTY, I'm an addict. I did copy the above photo of the 3" 19, I COULDNT HELP IT!!!!! I WAS DRAWN TO IT!!!! IVE LOOKED AT IT SEVERAL TIMES!!! I NEED HELP- or one of my own-LOL. BOB
You didn't happen to grab that one on gunbroker did you? I recall one that was supposedly a 3 inch model and came across it with 2 hours left to go and figured there was no way to confirm it was legit in 2 hours with Roy. This was about 8 months ago? Props to you if you did, I wish I would have just gambled and went for it since everything I saw looked legit. Hopefully that was you that got it for good price
