3" RB 547, Now with a Picture

What brand of speed loaders do you have for your S&W 547. After the S&W 547 was introduced I seem to remember buying two Safariland speed loaders in anticipation of buying a S&W 547. It wasn’t till several years later I actually saw the 547 in person. By that time the prices had gone out of sight. To this day I haven’t been able to find those speed loaders. I’m sure I have them if I bought them but that was in the early 80’s.

The only speedloaders I've ever seen for the 547 are HKS brand. Plan on spending $75-100 for one in the current market.

My son and I had the 547 out today for a test run. The previous trip I had two sometimes three light strikes while shooting double action. Sure enough the strain screw needed a twist or two. I didn't notice before as I was only shooting single action and she fired every time. I've only had the gun a short time and I'm still going through sea trials with it but I really love it. It is pleasure to shoot and accuracy is spot on. Good luck with your new purchase. I hope you enjoy it as much as I currently am.

Another one was the 2” adjustable sight model 60. I remember one sitting in a little gun/fishing shop in our town literally for a couple years ago in the mid 80’s. Not a bad idea in .22, but in 38???. Used model 60’s were cheaper and slipped in a pocket of tackle box easier.

I looked for one of those for a while.

I'm sitting on a stainless .32 barrel and cylinder to do a swap.

Here is my 3" Pinned 8D 547 I think I paid around $1,700 a couple of years ago. Thought I had a 4" lined up a few weeks ago but it didn't work out.
