I found some ammo I loaded 10 or 12 years ago.
The stick on tag that I used says it has a standard large rifle primer, 48 grains of Accurate number 2230, and a 150 grain Core Lock bullet.

The question I have is, I can't find any load data for this powder in the 06, anyone here ever use 2230 in the 06?
I must have got this info from somewhere, I wouldn't just dream it up, and 5 rounds have been fired at some point.

Thanks.

My Lyman #47 manual shows AA2230 with a 150 gr bullet with
46.0 grs at 39,000 cup and 51.0 grs at 49,300 cup for maximun charge.
Your load of 48.0 grs looks like a mild load.

Lyman #49 lists that combination: starts @ 46.0gr/2597mv to 51.0gr/2870mv/49.3K cup, max.
So that's in the middle.

.

Thanks, I read your post, then I dug out my Lyman 49th and sure enough there it was.
I knew I got that load form somewhere.

Thanks again.

Not sure, but I think I shot a nice 8 point buck with one of those bullets.

Reloadammo.com lists 2230 load with 150 grain bullet as follows:
A2230 49.4 gr. 2,865fps

Sounds like 48 grains would be just about right to match your old reloads.

Thanks for all the help guy's.

Now I can shoot these without any fear.
