30 SC slide on a series 1 shield 9mm frame

I've got a 9mm original shield series 1. I also have a shield+ in 30 SC. If I swap slides with all their associated parts to their opposite frames will both guns work in this new configuration?

The slide/barrel/RSA should work on the Shield frame. I've put Shield 9MM slides on a Shield Plus .30 SC frame and they work great.

The issue you may have is a magazine for the Shield that works with .30 SC ammo. The Shield Plus .30 SC magazine won't work in a Shield frame.

Same for putting the 9MM slide/barrel/RSA off the Shield on the Shield Plus .30 SC frame. You'll most like need Shield Plus 9MM magazines for it.

I have/carry/shoot two Shield Plus 9MM pistols. One left the factory as a .30 SC. It's been running with the 9MM top end on it for more than a year. It may be the one I carry every day or it may (right now) be in the bag as my road trip back up Shield Plus. I swap them every so often so both get shot/carried. Both have Shield 9MM 4" slides/barrels/RSA on them and dot optic sights so they are identical in feel/use.
