The 1st Model 32 Winchester Military revolver (Model 1899) was stamped on the top of the barrel as almost all pre-WWII guns were. Address and patent dates changed through the pre-war era, but the only two revolvers that I know of without barrel top roll stamps were some early 4" guns that had the stamping moved to the right side of the barrel and the early pre-war 357 Magnums. I believe the 32 Winchester guns all had caliber stampings from the beginning of production, whereas the 38s had no caliber stamps until around serial number 7000 if I remember correctly.
