You guys are a bad influence. I read about a .32-20 here and got interested. I started researching and one thing led to another and tomorrow the USPS will be bringing this to me. I told my wife it was your fault so, if she calls to fuss take the rap, and I'll do the same for you in the future.

Very nice Model of 1899. I have a few in .32-20, .38spl and USGI .38 Colt.
Those are gorgeous factory pearl stocks! Even though they didn't start using the large deep dish gold tone medallions until circa 1910 in walnut for standard stocks, medallions were used much sooner in pearl and ivory. Those might just be original to the gun. Let us know if there's a penciled SN on the back of the stocks.
And more importantly, let us know how it shoots.
I have a LOT of early S&W stocks, but only one set like those.

Also, you posted in the wrong forum. You might want to move this the the 1896+ forum. Your gun is not an antique firearm by at least a year.

I think your wife will like it with those grips. Most of the 32/20s saw a lot of use and it is hard to find one like you just bought. Congratulations.

That is one nice 1899 32-20, and those factory pearl grips are just icing on the cake !

Wow! That looks to be in seriously good condition.

My 32/20 is not that nice, but it is virtually new mechanically and it has a pristine bore and charge holes.

Yes I have dies, brass, and some 94 gr lead round noses in the mail too.

I have resisted as well, but I seriously want a fixed sight K frame in 32 s&w long... since so many are available in 32-20, I may weaken...as if an excuse is necessary.

Once you get a .32-20, you can fit a K-22 cylinder and have it rechambered to .32 Long or even .32 H&R Magnum.

That's the picture of the gun from the listing on GB. I'd like to see a picture taken with another camera. I'd been casually following this auction, and couldn't understand the color discrepancy on the side plate. I'd like to hear your thoughts about that, when you have the gun in your hands.

Funny thing about wives. Mine has about ten pairs of boots, some worth as much as a good used revolver but she can't her head around why I'm always looking for my next old gun. Can anyone relate to that?

Hey Mike,

It arrived today and that discoloration must have been a reflection or something because I don't see it on the gun. I have included a couple of pictures. I have bought from these guys before and the gun always looks better than the pictures.
