I have an affection for the little .32acp. By todays standards a "pip squeak", but historically one of the most important and popular cartridges in this country and throughout Europe. I own 3 pistols in.32 acp; a Walther/Manurhin ca 1953, a German Ortgies ca 1922, and my EDC, a Seecamp . Does anyone else share this enthusiasm for the little cartridge.

Yep, I have a few. They hit a sweet spot for me; I like older guns, I like different designs, I like surplus bargains, and since I have 9 Makarov, I don't look for .380's. Since the .32 and .380 guns are basically the same otherwise, most of my small, older guns are in .32 acp.

I've got a couple Mauser 1914's, a Savage 1907, a couple CZ 27's, a FEG PA Walther near-clone, and my latest was the Beretta 81 from the wave that hit a couple years ago. They're all fun shooters, and except for the Savage they are accurate for me (I think the Savage would be accurate in a bench rest, but nobody who has shot it can group it worth a dang).

I am addicted to WW1 32 autos. They represent a wide range of approaches to the small pistol design.

I love the .32 ACP - it punches above its weight class. I carry a Colt Pocket Hammerless every now and then, as well as a Beretta Model 81.

.32 ACP

Just added a very nice 1903 Colt in .32 ACP to my collection. I have the dies, plenty of brass, bulk pack 71 gr FMJs , powder and enough primers. I plan to get started on hand loading soon. I know that loading for this round has some challenges .

There are some very nice looking high quality pistols out there in this caliber. The Walthers, Saur H38 and 1910 Browning to name a few. While Smith and Wesson revolvers from 1900 to the early 1980’s are my main focus I will always have room for any interesting vintage piece. My Colt automatic was made in 1915. I also have Colt Police Positive in .38 S&W made in 1917. They are both in nice condition and together make a nice display.

Current wish list includes a .32 ACP PP, PPK or another Colt.
PS

One could easily make a career of collecting every known .32 pistol. There must be hundreds of them from all over the world. Right now I have six, but at one time many years ago I had several dozen, mostly American, and some of them quite rare. My favorites were Savage and Remington’s Model 51. My rarest at present is a first model Davis Warner.

I only have one .32 ACP and I've had it for years. My little Kel-Tec P-32 will never win a beauty contest, but it has never jammed and is quite accurate!

I have two (2). A Savage 1907 with the French army lanyard and a J P Sauer with holster.

I did have a Beretta Tomcat but one of the officers I worked with wanted to get his something she could manage so I sold it.

I carried it as a backup with Cor-Bon rounds.

Don’t have any .32s yet, but I expect that to change. Really like that Manurhin. I’m planning to hunt for a Savage 1907 here in a few months.

I carry a Colt 1903 hammerless fairly often.

I did some informal testing with the round a few years ago. I was fairly impressed with it. Not much expansion with hollow points, but excellent penetration. And testing a Colt 1908 hammerless in .380 alongside of it offered no improvement in performance over the .32 ACP

Inland 745, I have a Browning 1910 with a four digit serial number, very early production. Brought back from WW2 and chrome plated :-( But that lets me shoot it occasionally. I also have a Sauer 38H that is my favorite 32

I also have a Kel-Tec P-32 since before they made the P3-AT and I like it for deep cover. I really like shooting the .32 ACP in my CZ-27 that my uncle gave me from WWII. It has the original holster but unfortunately only 1 original mag. It has a very light trigger and it's very accurate!

Both guns are completely reliable shooting Fiocchi 73gr FMJ ammo. They will shoot other brands too but very well with the Fiocchi ammo, especially the CZ-27.

I have a few .32 acp’s. I like them and the caliber but I don’t reload for them now.

I got them for just the pleasure of having them. Some I got because of my collecting the manufacturer, some were just too ridiculously inexpensive to pass up. Most are historically important and some are still viable choices compared to modern day offerings. They all run flawlessly, even the CZ 50 which originally had magazine issues.

I have owned a number of 32 ACP caliber pistols over the years. For some reason I have always loved the caliber and enjoyed the variety of firearms chambered for it. Fun to shoot, usually quite accurate with mild recoil. I also reload for it, the biggest headache being recovering the fired cases (which seem to have the ability to vanish when fired lol).

Currently there are @ 6 in the safe (if I haven't forgotten any). A couple Colt 1903's, Savage 1907 and 1917 models, a Beretta 1915/19, a couple FN pistols.............. Always have my eyes open for a deal on any pocket autos but the 32's are my favorites.

I’ve had a Tomcat about 15 yrs. I put CT laser grips on it and carried it often. It’s surprisingly accurate at 20yds. I’m kicking around the idea of a Ruger LCP just because they’re so darned easy to carry.

Have a number of 32 and 380 acp's. Of the 32's, the Manurhin owned is the best accuracy and a favorite.

The .32 ACP has never been a favorite of mine, but along the way I've acquired a few interesting and historic guns made for it.

This Mauser Model 1934 was made just prior to WWII.

This Colt Model 1903 hammerless pistol was made in 1918.

This is an original 1941 Walther PPK, a WWII bring-back by a friend who flew P-47s in Europe. He willed it to me when he passed several years ago.

This Sauer 38H was made during WWII in Germany.

This FN Model 1922 was made in Belgium under German occupation during WWII.

This is a Savage Model 1915, which was hammerless. "10 shots quick."

I have not fired any of these, but keep them primarily as historic collectibles.

John
