I recently acquired one and disassembled it for cleaning. During disassembly I did not note the configuration of the cylinder stop plunger and spring and this is the first 5 screw I have had apart.
Question is; does the spring go in first and ride on the cylinder stop or the plunger?

Thanks in advance for all assistance.

Is it is an earlier gun that has the cylinder stop spring and plunger retained by a screw in the front of the trigger guard? If this is correct then the plunger is installed first, followed by the spring and then the screw. Be careful with the screw because the spring can make it difficult to get the screw started. Don't force it if the screw won't start easily!
