i got a box of 357's, that i have never seen before. there are 12 rounds in it, they are called EXPLODER. they look like a JHP with a primer in the hollow point. the box says it was distributed by BINGHAM LTD. just wondering when they were made and any other info on them. the price tag on it is $10.50.

I'd check your local laws before to tell too many people about them. I believe they're illegal to shoot in FL. And the bullets don't do much if you do shoot them. An interesting collectable however.

i didn't thing that they would do anything more than your normal hollow point, and i don't plan on using them. it's looks to me like it was some kind of gimmick round. who knows maybe some day it will be a worth something as a collectable item.

I dont know, But i do know a guy has one for sale on auction arms for $5 (just one round)

$5.00 for one round, wow!! you could make your own for alot less.

Look like these?

They were imported and sold by the Squires Bingham Co. They also had a .22 LR version called the Devastator , and these were the rounds used in the attempt on president Ronald Reagan. They were banned shortly thereafter.

I've tested a number of calibers on a number of mediums. Not very impressive. Basically a deeper drilled hollow point filled with some kinda gunpowder and capped with a primer.

MKK41- yep,. they look just like yours, same box and packed the same way. CTG COLLECTOR, thanks for the artical.
