Wondering what one of these are worth nowadays. Case and all paperwork, fired case, both grips wood and rubber. Thinking of downsizing, but not sure about this one. I know they are rare, hard to find any that have been sold or are for sale.

I am just a grasshopper on this site but I have seen a fair share of lightweight smiths for sure, but that is one platform I’ve never laid hands on. I hear the 329 PD is a real beast to tame (never shot one) , and I’ve heard the 41 Magnum is a great in-between round. If recoil is manageable I’d say you have the best of the best. I’d hang on to that one if it was me. But if it must go I’d think it would pull a premium price. Any pics? I sure would like to see it.

I've shot both, and yes the 41 Mag is nicer, even with full house loads. It looks just like the 329, but says 41 mag..

Those were probably going for around a grand or more before the pandemic. So now...add 50% minimum.

There was one recently in the 'for sale' forum. I've had my eyes on the model for considerable time, and they are relatively rare to see 'for sale'.

My private offer for cash sale was rejected. Given my use would be as a shooter rather than 'collector' I was unwilling to step up my offer. I don't know the final disposition but perhaps a 'search' in that area would produce information.

I had one in my hands nearly a decade past, when a local box store was closing out their stock. Yes, I couldda-shouldda-wouldda but missed the boat.

Good luck.

During August of 2020 I watched two S&W model 357PD guns that said like new in box with both grips and all paperwork sell for a little over $1600.00 each.
I have one I just made a post about today, with pictures. Mine has developed the frame crack, so I had to send it back to S&W.
