And stocks are easily swapped.
I believe that there were several Lew Horton special edition runs that were factory shipped with round bottom wooden Combat stocks, too.
Yep, that’s for sure.
Here’s a couple 357s that I swapped out the oem with factory combats.
3.5” 27
4” 586
Many models of Smith and Wesson revolver have shipped from the Factory with this style of grip.
Most all of them have been snub nose. Versions were availble for all three grip frames
The factory offered both round butt and square butt versions of these combat grips as accessories across many years
I am a big fan of the round butt combat grips and have put them on many of my revolvers

I think I found the unicorn. I’m not that well informed about the various models. So in my searches and looking at 100’s of internet pics. I believe what I am looking for is model 66.
I think it’s a k frame, round butt, model 66 3” barrel. With Combat grips.
I thought it was a n frame with a round butt.
But I believe I was mistaken. Sorry, Glad you all posted some beautiful guns.
Papa
Sadly, I led you all astray.
I finally was able to visually see the .357.
It is in my brother’s possession, and we did a video chat as he inspected it.
It’s is a model 686-4,
Looks like a 2” barrel.

That is Goncalo AlvesI know this is an older thread but I need some info. Colt SAA, you show a pic of a model 66 with a beautiful set of combats. I just found a nice used set almost exactly the same grain and color. My question is, what is the wood they are made from?
Thanks, Karl...
