Without a J prefix, it is very likely a 1965 shipped gun. Hope this is helpful.

Trying to figure the picture thing out

The thumb latch and stocks are consistent with a 1965 gun. You'll probably see the SN stamped on the inside of the right stock panel. Enjoy!

The 36 and -1 were both made at the same time, over a period of several years - if you post the SN in a new thread someone can let you know its age.

Thanks Alan. Picked the old girl up for $400. If it were in better shape I'd get it lettered. I'm just a sucker for flat latches and diamonds.
