$362 for 500 x 5.56 — The beginning of a return to sanity?

I saw on Gunbroker completed auctions that several lots of American Eagle 5.56 x 500 rounds sold for about $360.

Still double what it should be. But compared to $500 and up per 500 rounds it seems to be a signal that a return to sanity is on the horizon.

I guess so. I bought a 100rnd box of AE 55gr for $46 a few weeks ago, and could have bought much more.

From what I see, the only insane part is people that don't look around locally and have no patience. They hop on GB or their ammo finding website and shop that way.

I bought a case (1,000 rounds) yesterday at Kittery Trading post for $445.
Federal .223 loose packed.

Gunbroker has been slowing for about a month now. The stuff that is selling is doing so with less bid activity and some stuff isn't selling at all. This is purely anecdotal but it seems to be the case. Kittery Trading Post has held the line with their prices. Back a couple of months ago, I bought Winchester 9mm FMJ at $15 a box with a 5 box limit. I recommend anyone traveling through southern Maine stop in and look around. Prior to the apocalypse they had a great gun room and their prices are reasonable.

I have been seeing a bit more ammo showing up in stores.

This time last year before COVID you could get 1000K rounds
of 5.56 62 gr. green tip for just a little less than the
$360.00 at SGAmmo. Some scalpers are lowering their prices
because the stuff is not selling. I think GREED is clouding
their brains.
