.38 Nyclad, its back

I bet you all the tea in China that Federal® brings them back in 20 round boxes, not the 50 round (original) packaging.

That's good news about reintroducing Nyclad non-+P .38s. Years ago I bought 300 rounds when their discontinuation was first announced and can now restock.

Did S&W actually manufacture Nyclad ammo or any of its ammo?

I read some time ago that Nyclad ammo was made for S&W by Fiocchi before they sold the rights to Federal somewhere around the early '80s. I don't know if Fiocchi also made any of S&W's other ammo.

Didn't Nyclads become popular after Marshal and Sanow published their infamous "Stopping Power" series of books? They were highly rated in short-barreled guns against other available ammo of the period.

It is my impression that Fiocchi made all the S&W ammo back then.

And in honor of this thread, I found a Bianchi Speed Strip in a box of odds & ends the other day - loaded with S&W head stamped 158 gr. +P BLACK Nyclad HPs.
