Hi all
New guy here I just bought my first S&W its a night guard .45 ACP. I'm looking for some help I'm looking for all the different model .38 super revolvers that are out there. I seen one on a auction site and missed out on buying it. It was a 38 Super PC.

Does anyone know the model number for that is 38 Super PC?

It was a short barreled .38 super revolver all pictures and information on any and all .38 super revolvers will help
thanks in advance

Clay, welcome. I've never heard of a revolver chambered for the 38 super cartage, which is an auto loader round. Do you mean 38 special? If so S&W produces many different models of 38 special revolvers.

Hi thanks all for the welcome..

There are a few different auto rounds you can get in a revolver .45 acp , 9MM . 10MM and I just seen a .380 in a revolver
they use moon clips to hold the rimless rounds in so they do not slip though. I own a .45 ACP revolver a night guard

So far I have found 3 different models of .38 SUPER not special in a revolver.

S&W Model 627 .38 Super
S&W 686 P .38 SUPER
38 Super PC

I have a 627 PC 8-shot in 38 super. Think it's a Lew Horton gun. I turned it in to an open gun with an action job and a Doctor sight. Never shoot it cause it's pretty snappy compared to my 627 PC 8-shot .357 set up the same way.

I sure I'm going to catch some hell here for turning the super into an open gun-----it is serial number 1.

I also have the 686 PC in 38 super and 40. The L's are even more "snappy" then the bigger N's. They'd be great carry guns if you were into moon clips.

Was collecting SW PC guns at one time and have many editions. Have lost interest in collecting SW's. Now I only "collect" what I shoot. Did the same collecting thing the with older HK 9x series guns and acc's.
