Sorry if this has already been covered but I'm new. What are your preferences on .380 holsters and carry locations? I have the bodyguard and I'm trying to decide if I want a wallet holster or a pocket holster. Thanks everyone!

I carry my bodyguard in an inside pocket holster. I carry that in my right front pocket and it’s totally impossible to see.. Of course my body guard is only for casual carry around my normal area.

If going into the cities or a long car ride I carry with an ISWB holster my (now recalled and fixed) XDs.45. The potential for trouble is MUCH higher in those areas and I switch to a much more appropriate weapon due to those circumstances.

Pocket holsters are great, as long as you are not sitting down. I used one for ages for carrying a Colt DS on my walks around the neighborhood, mostly for dog protection. It is very fast to access and is, as you noted, pretty much invisible.

Well my only problem with a pocket holster is I have probably 6 items I carry daily and 2 of them are always in that pocket (keys and a pocket knife) I figured if I swapped my wallet to my rear left pocket the right rear pocket would be good for the bodyguard, and comfortable.

I have a Tagua pocket holster that is 5.25" tall and 4.00" wide. Not expensive and has worked well so far. I have practiced quite a bit with it. It's not useful when sitting.

When I carry my BG my first choice is an IWB holster. I have a Kusiak Leathers that I really like. My only regret is that I didn't get a tuckable.

I carry my 9c most of the time and carry the BG when concealment is an issue. Also, I have no experience with other pocket or IWB holsters for the BG so nothing to compare them to. I've been satisfied though.

At the Kusiak site, I got the Bodyguard IWB Holster for $35. I wish I'd gotten the same holster but the tuckable version.

I have three holsters for my BG 380. The one I use the most is a Remora IWB at 3:30 position. Next most used is my DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster, carried either in my jacket pocket or right-front or right-rear pants pocket. For deeper concealment I also have a Pistol Wear Trump Card that lets me carry under my left arm, which I like to use in the hot part of summer for church carry without a suit jacket.

If I were going to buy one more holster, I'd get a Kusiak IWB tuckable with spare mag holder. I've got one for my Shield and love it. It would probably replace my Remora as my most used holster.

Man I just looked up the kusiak iwb tuckable I've never seen those before, I think you have sold me on that!! Love that it has an extra mag pouch that will help contour and print less.

I've got a Galco in the pocket holster that works fairly well in my favorite position, the right front pocket of my pants. It does come about half way out as I draw, but the gun comes free as it should. It's a little disconcerting...I tried it in the right rear pants pocket but it sits too low to allow anything but a two fingered grasp on the gun. You have to juggle the gun to get a firing grip....not good.

I tried the Desantis as well and had the same results only more so...the Galco worked slightly better.

I'm trying to get my wife to stitch up my pants pockets to fit the Galco better, but you can guess how that's working out. A single stitch line, vertically, should do it...guess I'll have to take a morning and run through my jeans, casuals and a cpl of suit pants to accommodate the new holster.

Best Regards, Rod

Galco Tuk-n-Go IWB at 3:30 is my usual carry, though I also have their pocket holster which works well in jeans or a windbreaker pocket. I also have their OWB but haven't used it much. When it's chilly a Woolco Tactical series jacket can't be beat for warmth or concealed carry without looking like a "shoot me first" garment. The BG goes anywhere in it and I can even pack my Officers-sized 1911 without inviting comment (it CC's in a Bianchi IWB). Best advice is find what style works using cheapies then pay good money for a quality holster!
