Still pretty new to the forum, so bear with me, comrades.
Looking for a way to mount a reflex type rear sight on my
mod. 39-2. The Sight Mark mini shot looks good and affordable.
They tell me they do not make an adapter for this model.
Would the mount for the M&P be adaptable?
What about mounting a section of Weaver, or Piccatinny rail
on the slide behind the ejecter port? I this feasible or desire able?
I don't reall want to modify the slide any more than I have to.
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks a lot, any help would be much appreciated.

Personally... I loathe this idea hahaha, but to each his own. I don't know the best way but I believe the easiest way is to find a right grip/mount for a S&W Model 52 pistol. The 39 and 52 share stocks 100% and I know that someone either once did or still does make that right stock panel rail mount for an optic.

This option would work with zero alterations to your 39-2.

If you do make this work somehow... please don't take any pictures of it, hahaha. Just kidding, kind of. ;)

I really wish you wouldn't physically modify the pistol at all but it's yours so do what you wish.

What you may need to find is a Leupold optical sight mount for S&W Model 52

FastFire on model 69 ...

Depending on the intended use...........might I suggest....

a revolver with a drilled and tapped top strap might be a whole heck of a lot better idea!

I've mounted a Burris FastFire 3 on my model 69 and love the result. Next up getting one mounted on my 3906 slide.
