I sold one 2 months ago for $425 with no box and 2 mags. All I can say..is it is the 1st gun I have sold that my wife regretted. I bought a 3913NL so I sold it as I saw no need to have both. I bought the NL as it's basically a Lady Smith and I assumed my wife would like it better. She doesn't...so now I don't have a very well made 3913. I love the NL but my wife want the 3913 back..go figure:eek:

The way I read your post is you took your wife out of the loop on that gun and bought something you liked thinking she would like it. Was this her gun? Any gun for the wife, she picks it out as ske is the one who will be shooting it. If she wants it in pink so be it.;)

That's not exactly what happened. My wife has and buys her own guns. I bought the 3913NL mostly because thry didnt make that many and I thought it would be a good addition to a collection. The wife part was secondary. I was buying it anyway. She was in on the buy only that she liked the looks. But when she shot it she didn't like it. I love it. My wife owns 5 of her own pistols. None are Smiths but the 3913 was the only one of mine she really loved to shoot. After shooting the NL here comment was I should have kept the other. They are my pistols. She was just commenting on how the one I sold was the only one she really liked. She has shot at various times every thing I own. In short:When she wants a new gun, she buys it herself. The last 2 she bought I wasn't even in the loop.

Thanks for clearing it up for me. You are very lucky to have a wife who enjoys shooting and buys her own! That is priceless.:)

Congrats on the 3913. Sounds like you got a good deal at $380. I paid $495 for mine but it did come with night sights.

Isn't there a Commandment that goes, "Thou shalt not sell a 3913"?

Actually the commandment applies to all reliable and concealable handguns. Fortunately people stray and that is how I bought my 3913, 640, 457S, and model 10 snubbie and others. You just never want to sell those types of guns.

Ok ok I screwed up! But I learn from my folly. I bought a 3914 that is in transit now. Same gun just blued. And when I find another 3913 at a good price I'll buy it. Then all will be right.:D

I agree - I managed to get a 3913 back. My 640 was replaced with an even cooler 649 in .38spl (not .357), so no loss there. As for that Model 10 snub....I'd give a whole lot to have her back. I took her in as trade for a new dryer with an old partner at work back in 1996.........then in a weak moment 14 years ago I traded her away. I'd give anything to get that piece back. How was I to know Chris would be killed in the line of duty 2 years ago. Hindsight is great isn't it.......one of the reasons I don't get rid of any guns I buy/trade/get from friends or family anymore.

Good catch. Not many around at that price. With the extra mags it is a steal. I prefer its brothers the 6906 and the 6946 DOA but I don't carry. I have owned four or five 3913s and they are one of the best.

I purchased this LS new in 2007. It had sat at the LGS for at least a year with no takers. It will roll a soup can at 25 yards, 8 times out of 8. It's great to carry under a T Shirt or a jacket.
